Maybe Then

I fear the mirror,
which will reflect the true deceiver.
Maybe then I’ll see her.
Maybe then I’ll see her.
She who I have hidden from the world.
Away from the pain, love, & fear.
Here inside.
Here inside.
She is kept,
deep here inside.
Always weeping,
always weeping.
Never smiling,
oh never smiling.
But her tears never escaped my eyes,
& her frowns never framed my smile.
But I fear the mirror,
that will reflect the true deceiver.
Maybe then I’ll see her…
Maybe then I’ll be her…
